AN EVENT will be held at Walton Gardens next Wednesday (May 1) to mark the start of stroke awareness month.
“Step Out for Stroke” is for people of all ages and abilities and is about promoting the work of the Stroke Associated, based at Warrington Hospital.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of a stroke and what to do if it happens to you or a loved one.
Jacquelyn Berry from the Stroke Association said: “The Step Out walk promises to be lots of fun for friends and family. Stroke is the killer disease we’ve ignored for too long in the UK. It has a massive and sudden impact affecting people both physically and emotionally. We believe in life after stroke and we need everyone’s support to change lives affected by stroke.”
Everyone who takes part will receive a Step out t-shirt for a small donation.
To find out more information call the Stroke Association at Warrington Hospital on 01925 662053.
