Soccer match in memory of mum

A CHARITY football match between a Warrington Town XI and Emmerdale cast and crew XI will be in memory of a mother of two who tragically died from breast cancer leaving two teenage children.
The game at Cantilever Park on Sunday May 19, will involve the teams competing for the “Kay Carter Cup” in memory of the Warrington mum of two who died on December 27 2011.
Her husband Ian “Salty” Carter, a retired police officer who now works as a PCSO at Lymm, and colleagues based at Stockton Heath have teamed up with Town to stage the charity game, which willl help raise funds for St Rocco’s Hospice and the club’s Community Development Programme.
When Kay died she left two children, Adele, now aged 18 and Aaron, now aged 13. She spent a week in St Rocco’s Hospice.
The match will feature Warrington based soap star Luke Roskell, aged 16, who plays “bad boy” Sean Spencer in Emmerdale and other members of the cast and crew.
Tickets for the game are priced at £5 and include being entered into a raffle witht he chance of winning some great prizes, including a Warrington Town Vice Presidency worth £500.
