Woman cut free from wreckage

A woman had to be cut free from the wreckage of her car following a collision between two vehicles near the Asda store at Westbrook, Warrington.
Crews were called to a report of a road traffic collision involving two saloon cars at 5.24pm yesterday (Tuesday).
On arrival firefighters discovered one passenger had already been released and passed over to the care of the paramedics and one person remained medically trapped.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to release the casualty from the car and handed her over to the care of the Paramedics.
