Housing Trust's tool hire scheme

WARRINGTON’S biggest landlord has marked the start of Spring by launching a new garden tool hire scheme for its tenants in the Longford area.
Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) will provide, free of charge, a range of tools including an electric lawnmower, strimmer and hedge trimmer as well as a range of hand tools.
GGHT chairman Roy Smith said: “We have done lots of work to improve the appearance of our properties in the Longford area over the last 18 months and we recognise the difference that well cared for gardens can make to people’s pride.
“Unfortunately in the current climate many of our tenants are finding that the cost of gardening tools makes it difficult for them to purchase the correct equipment to maintain their gardens. This new scheme will provide tenants with the right tools to help them get the job done and keep the area looking at its best”.
If successful the Trust hope to expand the scheme into other areas next year.
For more information on the scheme tenants should visit www.gght.org.uk/toolhire or phone GGHT on 0800 25 26 27.
