STAFF at Warrington’s Wickes DIY store are celebrating after winning a ‘Best in Town award’.
The company award recognises the personal service on hand throughout the local store, the relationship the staff have developed within the community and their association with many charitable projects including the Warrington Wolves Foundation, to others in the wider community including the Long Lane Garden Centre.
The Warrington store made it through several rounds of regional and divisional voting before coming out on top winning £25,000 to invest back into the business.
Wickes is proud to be associated with the Wolves as a Foundation Patron, having built up the relationship over the last six years with all parties benefiting from the partnership.
Corporate hospitality and community work at the club have aided the company in growing and securing trade relationships over the last few seasons with the game of Rugby League uniting people within the town.
Congratulating Wickes staff on their award Neil Kelly, Wolves Foundation director, said: “This is a great achievement recognising the hard work Wickes staff put into the community. We are pleased to work with them and look forward to seeing this award being used in a positive way for the further benefit of the community.”
