Praise for small businesses

TWO Warrington businesses have been praised after being shortlisted in a national competition to find the country’s most promising small business.
Leader of the council Cllr Terry O’Neill (right) said: “I am delighted that the success of Hall’s Rainsaver and Abeti Medical Solutions has been recognised through the Newspaper Society’s Local Business Accelerators competition.
“Successful small businesses are essential for the economy and for thriving local communities so I hope other people in Warrington will be inspired to set up or grow their own business. If they are, I would like to stress the importance of drawing upon good advice such as that found on the Business in You website.”
Meanwhile Warrington South MP David Mowat (left) also praised the Lymm-based Halls Rainsaver, which sells guttering that can be fixed easily to different buildings to save rainwater.
He said, “I am delighted to see the success of Hall’s Rainsaver. Small businesses play a vital role in our economy and in local communities. I very much hope that the Local Business Accelerators competition and the accomplishments of Hall’s Rainsaver will help to inspire other people to start their own business in Warrington South or to grow one they are running already.”
The national winner will be announced in October and will receive a year’s mentoring from Dragon’s Den star Deborah Meaden and other prizes including free advertising, £10 000 from the Business Growth Fund, business assistance, equipment and advice.
