A CHILDREN’S book written by a Warrington woman has featured in the BBC television programme “Mayday.”
“The Tree Elves Picnic” was written by Alice Jane Roberts, designer and publicity co-ordinator at Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School.
She got the idea for the book the day her niece was born.
Alice wanted children reading the book to be able to follow the story through pictures.
“The Tree Elves Picnic” is a beautifully illustrated book written for children of all ages, which sees the main character enter a world of make believe high up in the trees.
Alice said: “I like stories that start off realistically then meander into the world of make believe. Kids can relate to it because it’s actually just about a boy climbing a tree.”
The book is available from online bookstores, such as Amazon and Waterstones.
