TWO elderly residents had to be rescued by firefighters after a property in Warrington Road, Glazebury flooded due to a burst water main.
Crews were called to the property just after 11pm on Friday night following reports of flooding which was caused by a 1200mm water main that had burst adjacent to the nearby property. The ground floor was flooded and fire crews thought the water may get deeper, so decided on immediate rescue.
Two residents were rescued and transferred to a neighbouring property.
