Peel Hall meeting date

THE controversial plan to build 150 houses on land at Peel Hall, Warrington, will come before a meeting of the borough council’s development management committee on Thursday, March 7.
Because of the public interest in the scheme, the meeting will be held at the Parr Hall, starting at 6.30pm.
Four other planning applications will be heard at the same meeting.
Members of the public will be able to attend – but formal representations to speak must be made prior to the meeting via the planning department before 12 noon on Tuesday March 5.
The total number of people allowed to speak will be at the discretion of the chairman and restricted to those who represent different interest groups/ issues.
People attending the meeting are advised to arrive 15 minutes before the meeting begins to register their interest.
Applicants Satnam Developments have already appealed on the grounds of non-determination because the borough council did not deal with their application within 13 weeks, so the final decision will be taken by an independent planning inspector.
But the committee’s views will be taken into account.
