The network hub has vacancies for representatives for 13 sub-sectors and those wishing to stand for election must be willing to represent and speak for all organisations in that sub-sector, as well as feed information back to those groups,
The current sub-sectors are Arts and Culture, Children & Families, Disability, Ethnic Associations, Health & Social Care, Information & Advice, Older People, Sport & Recreations, Substance Misuse, Young People, LGBT, Housing/Homelessness and Community Associations.
People wishing to stand for election to the Third Sector Network Hub must be proposed and seconded by members of two different third sector organisations operating within the Warrington Borough Council area.
They must be able to attend hub and network meetings, annual training and have a good working knowledge of the third sector in Warrington.
Elections will take place at the Third Sector AGM on March 12 at the Gateway, Sankey Street, Warrington. Nomination Forms must be received by February 13.
Representatives will normally be elected for a period of three years and may stand for a further term of office at the end of the three years. If a representative leaves during their term of office, the Network Hub has the option to co-opt a new member onto the Hub until the next election.
Meanwhile, the annual Warrington Third Sector Assembly will take place at the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Young People’s Peace Centre on Tuesday March 5.
The Assembly aims to bring together voluntary and statutory agencies in partnership to develop and promote a thriving, effective and influential third sector that will work to improve the quality of life for the people of Warrington.
