Dance extravaganza

BALLET, ballroom, burlesque – if its dance its on the menu at Warrington’s Pyramid and Parr Hall during February, April and May.
A wide variety of dance events have been lined up, with something for everyone.
Saturday, February 9 sees a Northern Soul night with plenty of room for dancing.
On Saturday, February 16, Close Distance Parlour Dance presents an evening explosive dance, helter-skelter emotions, fast-moving physicality, and acrobatic theatricality.
On March 21-22, Shine! 2013 showcases the very best of local dance talent from across Warrington.
April 10-13 see Encore – Stepping Out, a warm, funny play which follows an amateur tap-dancing class as they prepare for a charity concert.
Stars of Strictly Come Dancing, Pasha Kovalev and Katya Virshilas are waltzing into Warrington on Thursday April 11 with new show, complete with Q+A session, audience participation, and an appearance from the Felicia Burns Dance School.
Vienna Festival Ballet will bring their production of Sleeping Beauty to Parr Hall on Saturday May 11. This will be a traditional, enchanting performance of the classic fairytale set to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score.
Finally, on May 17, over 18s can enjoy An Evening of Burlesque as corsets, killer heels, sultry vocals, and stockings aplenty collide to create a colourful kaleidoscope of the best of burlesque and the bizarre world of variety.
