IT distributor VIP Computers has opened a new warehouse facility in Warrington.
The warehouse extension adds an extra 31,000 square feet, over 3,000 more pallet spaces, costing £1.6 million. This gives the company a total warehouse capacity of 100,000 square feet.
Company chairman Jatti Sahni said: “This expansion of the warehouse will help our company to grow further, allowing us to tap into the growth of the IT market.
“VIP recently bolstered its team with 60 new employees from the north-west region and will continue to invest in its future as a major employer in the area.”
Presently, VIP Computers annually services in excess of 2,000 accounts and moves over 9,000 items per day, with a 99.7 per cent shipping accuracy rate. The extra capacity is expected to drastically boost the number of items processed per day.
