ST Rocco’s Hospice, in conjunction with Warrington Borough Council, are organising a Christmas Tree Collection this year to raise valuable funds for the Hospice.
The service will be run solely by volunteers supporting the Hospice and with support from the council and Whitemoss Waste Company.
The collection will be done throughout Warrington and will take place this Sunday, January 6.
Bookings can be taken over the phone or online with credit card payments.
A hospice spokes person said: “There is no minimum donation required for your tree collection; please just be as generous as you can. Once booked, your tree collection will be on a list to collect and will be taken to a central point to be mulched and made into compost – raising funds and saving the planet too!”
Cllr David Keane, executive board member for environment and public protection at Warrington Borough Council, said: “The Christmas tree collection is a great idea to raise valuable funds for St Rocco’s Hospice and we’re delighted to be supporting it. If you have a real Christmas tree that you’re planning to just throw away this is an easy opportunity to give something back and help someone else this Christmas.”
To book your collection, or for more information log onto www.stroccos.org.uk or contact Helen Latham on 019225 575780.
