A LYMM photographer’s picture, called “A Lovely Smile,” won an award in a regional competition.
Desmond Hawley, a member of Lymm Camera Club, won a £250 voucher for photographic equipment.
More than 1,000 photographs were entered in the year-long competition to raise awareness of the “Five Ways to Wellbeing” – five actions that can help people feel better and live longer.
A panel of professional photographers chose the six winning images.
Sue Henry, director MSH Partnership and formerly at NHS North West, said: “The Life through the Lens photo challenge was created to highlight the importance of the ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’ – connect, be active, take notice, keep learning and give.
“It was also designed to get the region thinking about how to get the best from life. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response from the public across the North West and the judges were truly impressed by the calibre of entries our region has to offer.”
The winning images were on show from December 8 at the Nexus Art Café in Manchester, and can be viewed at http://photos.yearofhealthandwellbeing.org.uk/gallery/winners-gallery
A winning smile!
