Royal Oak sapling planted

A “Royal Oak” sapling has been planted in the wildflower meadow at Stockton Heath’s Mill Lane Diamond Jubilee Field.
The common oak sapling was grown from acorns gather from a royal estate and has been presented to Stockton Heath Parish Council by Fields in Trust, in partnership with the Woodland Trust.
The aim is to provide an additional living legacy of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Similar “Royal Oaks” have been presented to other QEII fields across the country.
