CROWDS turned out in force for a spectacular firework display and bonfire held in Lymm near Warrington and helped raise £6,500 for charity.
Lymm and District Round Table’s bonfire, sponsored by Kids Planet Nursery, was held at Lymm Rugby Club.
It featured two firework displays – including an early one especially for children – and a range of food treats to keep everyone happy. There was also the return of the popular designated area for disabled people and their carers.
Organiser and Round Table member Mike O’ Crowley said: “It was another great bonfire event and we’re particularly pleased to have raised so much given the number of other local displays also held on that evening.
“It was a bitterly cold night so it was great to see so many people come for both the earlier children’s display and the main display – their support will go towards helping out a charity or community group in need. A big thank you must also go out to the volunteers who helped to run the stalls too including Lymm Ladies Circle and Lymm Lions.”
