Man in hospital after attack

A MAN ended up in hospital at Warrington after being attacked by two thugs in the early hours of the morning.
The 30-year-old was punched in the face and left with serious facial injuries.
Police have appealed for witnesses of the attack between 3am and 4am on Saturday, October 20 at the rear of the shops in Greenwood Crescent, Orford.
The man was walking along the road behind the shops when he was approached by two men who started a conversation.
Then of the men punched him in the face and the pair fled the scene.
DC Carl Davis of Warrington CID said: “The victim was left with a serious facial injury as a result of the assault and required hospital treatment.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and we appeal for anyone with any information about the incident to get in touch.”
One man was in his early 20s, about 5ft 10 inches tall and of proportionate build. He was wearing a white hooded tracksuit top with the hood up, dark coloured trousers and spoke with a local accent.
The other was in his early 20s, shorter than the first man but of a bigger build. He was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and black trousers.
