WARRINGTON South MP David Mowat has hailed a shopping centre’s latest campaign as a “triumph” for family values.
He is supporting Golden Square’s project to encourage families to “Get Creative” together.
It was launched to counteract cuts in Government funding for the arts, and offers families discounts at creative outlets across Warrington such as The Entertainer and Build-a-Bear.
Mr Mowat said: “This is a great response to the need to keep arts and creative activities at the forefront of family activities and I wholeheartedly support it.”
The campaign was launched last month by Warrington Wolves star Ben Westwood and families have been signing a pledge to spend an hour a week together getting creative.
Get Creative offers discounts at arts venues in Warrington including the Pyramid and Parr Hall.
Golden Square manager Ian Cox said: “We are thrilled to have such strong support from Mr Mowat who is someone who can make a real impact in the community.

Golden Square manager Ian Cox thanks MP David Mowat for his support for the Get Creative campaign.
