WARRINGTON Wolves have thanked their ever-loyal fans for once again supporting the team at home and on the road throughout a successful 2012 which saw the team lift the Challenge Cup for the third time in four years, finish second in the league and reach their first ever Grand Final.
Chief Executive Andy Gatcliffe says every supporter is a vital piece in the club jigsaw and plays a huge part in making it the success it is today.
Year on year the club’s fan base grows and none more so than this year with the Wolves surpassing the 8000 Season Ticket milestone.
Other success has included the under 20s lifting the League Leaders Shield and winning the Valvoline Cup Grand Final.
Mr Gatcliffe says the successes are all a result of great teamwork, with the club and fans working together towards the same end goal: Warrington Wolves being the best in Super League both on and off the pitch.
He added: “Once again you have made me proud to be part of this great club. The team successes on the pitch have been matched by your continued support off it and for that the club are eternally grateful. It has been a sight to behold on numerous occasions as Primrose and Blue descended on the Etihad Stadium, Wembley and Old Trafford.
“On behalf of the club I would like to say a massive thank-you to each and every one of you, as together we have achieved another successful year at the Wolves. I, for one, am looking forward to another great season in 2013 and seeing International Rugby League return to The Halliwell Jones Stadium for the Rugby League World Cup.”
