Wolves squad for derby clash

WARRINGTON Wolves boss Tony Smith has made just two changes to his 19 man squad chosen for last week’s victory over Huddersfield Giants for Sunday’s derby clash at Widnes Vikings.
Skipper Adrian Morley (pictured) and winger Joel Monaghan are both rested with Mike Cooper and David Solomona called up for the short trip to the Stobart Stadium, kick off 3pm.
The Wolves have won both previous encounters this year and will be looking to secure a third win as they prepare for the play-offs next weekend.
The Vikings, however, are battling it out to avoid bottom spot and the wooden spoon so will also be targeting victory giving this match all the ingredients of a classic derby.
Wolves’ assistant coach Richard Marshall said: “Widnes have stuck to the structures and have been really true to themselves. They’ve really worked hard and have improved. The last home game they put 40 plus past Hull which is no mean feat so they’ll be in a confident mood and it’s important that we go there with the right attitude and put a team out that can perform and get themselves into form for the following week.”
