Education drop in centre to open

A DROP-IN centre offering advice for young people on education, training, apprenticeships and jobs opens in Warrington on Monday September 10.
Careers for Young People is provided by the borough council for people aged between 16 and 19. It is based in Time Square, near to the Youth Café.
The service will work with local businesses, schools, colleges and training providers to help young people get the best possible start in their future careers.
Opening week events include workshops on CV building and interview techniques.
Cllr Colin Froggatt, the borough council’s executive member for children and young people, said: “This will be a valuable resource for young people and I would encourage them to make the most out of the advice and services that are available.
“Established connections with local businesses will also be great asset and by working together we can offer young people greater choice and expert advice about their future careers.”
