Cook Healthy Eat Well campaign

0

CHILDREN’S centres throughout Warrington are running a course to encourage parents to cook healthy food for their families.
The Cook Healthy Eat Well (CHEW) course runs in partnership with Warrington’s Food and Health Team. It is designed to support parents and carers to learn and develop new skills based around healthy eating.
After attending the initial four week course, some parents have progressed to become food ambassadors who work to help other parents and carers to develop healthy eating habits for their families.
A Be Healthy Task Group has also been formed to look at physical activities for children to accompany healthy eating.
The CHEW courses run from all children’s centres across Warrington. Further details are available by telephoning 01925 628680.
