YOUNG people at Warrington still searching for the right job or course can attend a special education, employment and training event in the town on Thursday, October 4 at 1-4pm.
The event, called “Your future, Your Choice, Move On” is being hosted by Warrington Borough council’s careers service at the Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.
It will offer help for people aged 16-24
Local businesses will be supporting the event and there will be advisers on hand helping people look at career options, develop CV’s and fill in application forms for vacancies on the day.
Cllr Terry O’Neill (pictured), leader of the council, said: “Working together with the business sector to provide young people with training and employment advice and opportunities is high on our agenda.
“This is a great opportunity for young people who are still deciding about their next steps to come along and find out what’s on offer and get some expert, professional advice and support about their future.”
Every young person who attends will be entered into a free prize draw to win I-Tunes vouchers, LiveWire leisure passes and other prizes.
For more information about the event contact “Careers for young people” on 01925 442055 or email [email protected] or visit the website www.careersforyoungpeople.co.uk

  1. Sounds good but yet again another such event organised for an week day afternoon. This always excludes kids who are in college or who may have a part time job on their days off. Why don’t they ever do them in the evenings or at weekends so it caters for all who need help and are looking? Are the job vacancies they mention available to view online anywhere else. I just tried their website link but it doesn’t work 🙁
