A sunshine garden opens

WARRINGTON’S Sunshine Children’s Centre held an official ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new garden area.
A previously unused outdoor space has been transformed by the staff at the O’Leary Street centre and their parents’ forum into a lovely garden for the young children to enjoy.
Staff from Long Lane Garden Centre, who helped transform the space, marked the occasion by planting some fruit, vegetables and plants.
The new garden is complete with a mini-beast viewing area, bird feeders and an insect house so the children can learn about the natural environment.
Anyone who would like to know more about events and activities at local children’s centres should contact the Families Information Service on 01925 443131.
