COMMUNITY radio station Radio Warrington – which has been broadcasting daily on the internet for five years – is to broadcast live for nine days from Warrington Market from tomorrow (Saturday.).
It will launch at the market’s classic transport show and will cover a number of events including Warrington Music 
Festival and Disability Awareness Day.
During the full nine days, Radio Warrington will be broadcasting on 87.8FM as well as on its usual web address, www.radiowarrington.co.uk/listen-live/
The Mayor, Cllr Steve Wright has officially opened its stall on the market.
He said: “It’s always good to see local community groups, such as Radio Warrington, utilising the market as a way of bringing our local community together.”
Shoppers visiting the market will be able to request their favourite music.
Listeners will hear a wide range of music, as well as local news and features.

Congratulations to Radio Warrington…. about time we had a proper local radio station…. advert (oops sorry; I meant Wire FM) is now just a part of a national radio outfit and plays the same rubbish on all of its stations with only the adverts being local……….Maybe you could get the mayor to do a guest presentation after lunch sometime. . . You could call it “Steve Wright in the afternoon”….. or has that been done already!!?? 🙂
