WARRINGTON author Curtis Jobling is set to make not one but two appearances at the Manchester Children’s Book Festival.
He will be meeting fans and talking about his work on Saturday, June 30 from 11am to noon, and from 2pm to 3pm.
The first talk will showcase Jobling’s work as an illustrator, under which guise he has created much-loved figures including Bob The Builder, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion and Frankenstein’s Cat.
The second will focus on his Werework novels, which have become hugely popular among children aged 10 and over. Both events will take place at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Geoffrey Manton Building, on Oxford Road.
The festival is organised by the university’s Manchester School of Writing, with Poet laureate and MMU Professor Carol Ann Duffy as creative director.
