New board member appointed

FOLLOWING the recent council elections, a new non-executive director has been appointed to the board of local bus company Network Warrington.
Cllr Dan Price, (pictured) who was elected for Labour at Great Sankey North has replaced Lib Dem David Earl, who lost his seat at Westbrook.
David thanked the Board for the time that he had served, saying that it had been a very positive experience and he was pleased with the many achievements the company had made.
Commenting on his appointment Dan said: “I’m really excited about being appointed onto the Network Warrington Board, and I look forward to working with the Board to further improve the great service that Network Warrington provides to our town.”
Dan lives in the area he represents and served an apprenticeship in process engineering, and more recently set up his own business in Warrington.
Commenting on the changes, Chair Maureen Banner commented, “We would like to welcome Dan to our Board, he brings with him business expertise, particularly in the engineering sector, and will be a welcome addition to our Board. We say a fond farewell and thank you to David Earl for his time with us, and wish him all the best for the future”.
Network Warrington has 10 Directors, three are executive Directors, with the remaining 7 being non-executive Directors, of which 6 are serving Councillors, with an independent Chair.
