Children in fancy dress success

0

CHILDREN, parents and staff from The Woodlands Children’s Centre in Birchwood were thrilled to win first prize for fancy dress in the Queen’s Jubilee Parade at Birchwood Carnival.
They dressed up as characters from Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” – including Alice, the Cheshire cat, the Mad Hatter, the caterpillar and playing cards.
Despite the wet weather, their spirits weren’t dampened and as a reward for their brilliant efforts they were presented with the Birchwood Carnival Shield, a certificate and a cheque for £100.
They marched proudly around the mini procession at Birchwood Forest Park, enjoying the atmosphere and showing off their fancy dress costumes.
