FIRE and rescue crews were called to the scene of a collision in Hob Hey Lane, Culcheth, Warrington.
A man and a woman were trapped in one of two cars involved in the crash.
They were released by firefighters and then taken to hospital by ambulance. Their injuries were not thought to be serious.
The road was closed for a short time while the vehicles were removed from the scene.
