THE Warrington Group of Lodges and Chapters has held its first Giving Day when donations were handed out to local charities, including £3,500 to children’s charity JUMP.
Members from lodges and chapters gathered at the Masonic Lodge to make donations to non Masonic charities. More than 60 people attended a very enjoyable morning.
The Warrington Group Chairman Chris Eyres opened the proceedings welcoming those present and introducing the team who organised the event.
Donations were given to a number of national and local charities and many other local good causes.
The largest single donation of £3,500 was presented to the local charity, JUMP, for a special event in bringing families with children suffering with long term illnesses together for a picnic in the park. The money was accepted by Steven Stout on behalf of JUMP.
Malcolm Kindon, head of fundraising for St Rocco’s Hospice, responded on behalf of all the recipients by thanking the Warrington Masonic Group for its generosity and continued support.
