STOCKTON Heath Methodist Drama Society are to stage a comedy set against the economic uncertainty of the early 1990s.
“April in Paris” by John Godber will be performed at the Methodist Church Hall, Walton Road on March 15, 16 and 17 at 7.30pm.
Bet and Al’s married life in Hull is withering. He hides from the world by painting in his shed and she by immersing herself in lack-lustre magazine competitions…until luck strikes.
But can her win, a surprise trip to Paris – and their first holiday abroad – restore their marriage?
The play offers an amusing insight into how Bet and Al cope with the obstacles of French language, cuisine and culture.
