Girl, 18, assaulted by flasher

POLICE at Warrington have made a further appeal for information about an incident in which an 18-year-old girl was indecently assaulted.
The incident was on Whittle Hall Lane, near Littledale Road, on Thursday, February 23 at about 6.45pm.
A number of members of the public have already come forward with information but police believe other people may have been in the area and could have useful information.
The girl crossed the footbridge on Whittle Hall Lane, heading towards Littledale Road.
She saw a man standing in some bushes and as she passed him he jumped out and touched her inappropriately.
The girl then turned around and sawthe man was exposing himself. He then fled the scene.
Police say the man was in his 50s, around 5ft 4 inches tall, with short grey hair and was wearing glasses, a camouflage style jacket and jeans.
Inspector Dave Griffithssaid: “A number of people have already come forward with information since the initial appeal and we are grateful to them for getting in touch. We are making a further appeal for information from the local community and are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was in the areaat the time and may have seen anyone acting suspiciously.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have any information in relation to the identity of the offender.
“Officers are continuing to follow-up a number of lines of enquiry in relation to the incident. Patrols have been stepped up in the area to actively target whoever is responsible and to reassure the local community.
“We are urging people to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to us immediately. We are advising members of the public, particularly lone females, to be vigilant when walking alone in the town.”
