A MAN injured in a road collision at Warrington more than three weeks ago has died in hospital.
Today, police appealed for witnesses of the incident on the A49 Newton Road, at its junctions with Delph Lane, Winwick, on February 6.
They want anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it to get in touch.
The victim, 45-year-old Bernard Mutubuki, from Manchester, was crossing the road, using a pedestrian crossing, when he was in collision with a red Hyundai vehicle travelling towards Newton-le-Willows.
Mr Mutubuki suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to Warrington Hospital for treatment.
Later, he was transferred to hospital in Liverpool where, although his condition at first improved, he subsequently died.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 or, alternatively, the anonymous Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
