Shoppers trapped in lift again!

FIRE crews have been called to rescue people trapped in a lift at a Warrington town centre store – for the third time this month.
On Friday afternoon crews were called to Marks and Spencer, Sankey Street, to recue four adults and two children who were trapped in the lift.
This follows an incident on Tuesday February 14, when the lift failed and six people were trapped. No-one was hurt in either incident.
A similar incident at the same store occurred on Saturday February 11.
An M&S spokesperson said: “We have taken our customer lift out of action whilst we investigate the problem. If any customers are unable to access the first floor of the store staff will be happy to help by escorting them in the goods lifts.”
