A MAN was taken to hospital at Warrington early today after an arson attack on his home.
The blaze was at a house in Cabul Close, around 5am.
Two fire engines from Warrington went to the scene and found a fire involving the front door of the property, which had resulted in dense smoke penetrating the interior.
The occupant, a young man, had suffered smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital for a check-up.
Cause of the blaze was a wheelie bin which had been pushed up against the front door and then set alight.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze, using two hose reel jets.
Police are now investigating.
