Town frozen off

WARRINGTON Town’s match at table topping Curzon Ashton has been called off due to a frozen pitch.
It is hoped that the game will be re-arranged for Saturday March 10, when both clubs have a free Saturday.
Warrington missed out on the chance of a little piece of history as the game scheduled for today would have been Curzon’s 600th game in the Northern Premier League.
There is plenty of history between the two clubs going back inthe 1990s when a behind the scenes rift between Warrington’s then board and the first team squad, saw nearly the whole playing squad and manager move to Curzon.
Warrington are next in action on Tuesday when they entertain Bamber Bridge at Cantilever Park, kick off 7.45pm.
