WARRINGTON Under 15’s Schoolboys team have progressed to the last 16 of the English Schools FA National Cup competition with a home tie this weekend for a place in the quarter-finals.
The team have been drawn at home in every round so far and the last 16 is no different as they host South Nottingham at Cantilever Park, the home of Warrington Town FC, this Saturday, January 14.
They started the competition off with a game against much fancied Liverpool Schoolboys who had a host of academy representatives from Everton and Liverpool FC. A 3-0 win saw them progress to the next round where they hosted Stockport. An impressive 4-1 win saw the young side drawn at home again, this time facing Salford.
Last weekend, they played the tie at Birchwood due to the unavailability of Cantilever park and were on the winning side again after a 4-3 victory.
The winner of this Saturday’s clash will host either Derby & District or Manchester in the quarter finals.
Kick off is at 11:00am and admission prices are just £2 for adults and free entry to under 16’s. Turnstiles open at 10am. The Crazy Hog food bar will be open and a match programme will also be on sale.
