Bid to boost badminton

A NEW bid is being made to increase the number of people playing badminton in the Warrington area.
Badminton England is running two six-week coaching course at Birchwood Tennis and Leisure Centre designed to encourage people to take up or return to playing badminton.
The first course starts on Thursday (January 12) and runs until February 16 and the second is from March 1 to April 5
Alison Lysons, Cheshire regional officer for Badminton England said: “My main aim is to increase the number of adults playing badminton in Warrington, Cheshire West and Chester and Cheshire East.
“We ran a successful project at Birchwood between September and December so I have arranged the further sessions.”
