POLICE at Warrington are investigating after arsonists struck twice in the early hours of this morning.
In both cases, the attacks were on wheeled bins left in the street – but in one, the fire spread to a nearby car which was totally destroyed.
The car fire was in Dickinson Street and by the time fire crews could reach the scene the vehicle was well ablaze.
Two streets away, in Forshaw Street, a second blaze involving a wheeled bin was reported shortly afterwards.
Fire chiefs believe say they believe both fires were started deliberately. They could have been started by the same person, or persons.
