WARRINGTON Town’s young midfielder Liam Shipton is set to run 20 km around the Cantilever Park pitch to help raise funds for charity.
The former Lymm High School student who joined Warrington from Wrexham at the start of this season, is raising funds for the British Heart Foundation.
He pledged to do the fund-raising in memory of a friend’s grand father who died suddenly from a heart attack.
“The famliy asked for donations instead of flowers at the funeral and I pledged to do a 20km run to help raise funds,” said Liam, who has recently become a regular in the Town first team.
He will be doing the run tomorrow, Thursday at 4pm – prior to club training – and supporters are welcome along to show their support and make donations to the charity.
