LYMM’S teenage singing star, Ellie Dibben, has been invited to appear at two major music festivals in the coming year.
Ellie, aged 13, has been booked to perform on the main stage at Americana 2012 after making her debut at Americana this year and also at the Underage festival, 2012.
The Lymm High School pupil was just 11 when she first sang on BBC radio and since then has made many guest appearances at celebrity charity dinners, both as a soloist and in duets with the legendary PJ Proby. She features on PJ’s Album 60s Gold.
In 2010 she was selected from hundreds of hopefuls, to record a single and music video in Hollywood.
She recorded her debut album earlier this year and in recent months has been asked to sing at a blue plaque unveiling at Pinewood Studios and also at the home of Robin Gibb.
Ellie has a voice and style to rival Taylor Swift but also covers the songs of contemporary artists Miley Cyrus, Adele and Leona Lewis.
