WARRINGTON Town defender Louis Corrigan has left Cantilever Park to join Evo-Stik NPL First Division North title chasers Skelmersdale United.
The left sided defender (pictured right) was in his third season with the Wire and recently returned to the first team squad having been out injured for six months with knee and ankle problems.
He will be remembered by Town fans for a fantastic 30 yard goal scored at Curzon Ashton last season which helped Warrington to a 2-0 win over the Tameside club. Corrigan arrived at Cantilever Park from Colwyn Bay back in 2009 after being released as a youth team player at Tranmere Rovers.
He links up with Tommy Lawson’s team who are currently in the hunt for promotion. The West Lancashire side defeated Town 2-1 in early December and 4-1 back in August.
Everyone at Warrington Town Football Club would like to wish Louis the very best of luck with his new side and hope he has a distinguished career in the game.
At the start of the season Striker Allan Collins also left Cantilever Park for Skelmersdale but decided to return mid season.
Warrington are in action today against Witton Albion today, kick off 3pm, when former fans favourite Chris Gahgan will line up against his home town club after leaving for pastures new three weeks ago after failing to get a regular spot in the starting line-up after four seasons with Town.
Gahgan (pictured below) has rediscovered his goal scoring boots in his opening two games for Witton.
