1

DRIVERS are being advised to avoid the M6 near Warrington, following two incidents this afternoon.
There are long hold-ups on the northbound carriageway from Junction 20, the Lymm Interchange, to Junction 21 at Woolston because of an accident involving three vehicles in the vicinity of Thelwall Viaduct. Two lanes have been closed.
The southbound carriageway of the motorway is also closed at the exit slip road at Junction 20 because of a broken down vehicle.
It is not known if there have been any casualties.

  1. Surely that should have read “Drivers are being advised to avoid the M6 and come and clog up Warringtons’ already overcrowded roads”…… God help us when the toll bridge across the Mersey opens as our totally naive local councillors seem to think it will have little or no effect on traffic in the town!!
