Man's jaw broken in attack

POLICE at Warrington today appealed for witnesses of a street attack which left a man with a broken jaw.
A local man was walking along Rolleston Street, Warrington at 2am on Sunday, December 11 when, without warning, a
man approached him and punched him in the face before running off down an alleyway in the direction of Froghall Lane.
The 20-year-old local man’s jaw was broken in three places and he is still receiving treatment at hospital.
Police say the offender was about 6ft tall, of medium build, wearing black clothing and a black balaclava.
They are appealing to anyone who may have seen the attack to call them on 101.
Alternatively, information can be left anonymously on the Crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.
The attack was not reported to police until yesterday (Monday).
