Save hospital services campaign

HUNDREDS of people signed up to “Save Vascular Services” at Warrington Hospital when MP Helen Jones set up stall in Culcheth.
The Warrington North MP was joined by her son – local Labour campaigner Chris Vobe – and a number of Labour councillors.
Ms Jones has been speaking out against NHS plans to take vascular services from Warrington Hospital and move them to Chester for some time.
The aim of the street stalls was to raise awareness to the issue.
Mr Vobe said: “I am delighted that Labour’s campaign to keep Vascular Services at Warrington Hospital is one that all members of our community felt able to get behind. Literally hundreds of residents from Culcheth, Glazebury and Croft added their names to the petition and spoke to us about the ways that they could raise awareness and help.
“It is a credit to Culcheth that we united as a community so strongly behind this cause. I knew from the outset that there was no better place to launch the fight!
“This is not a battle that we will give up easily – it is right that services are retained at our hospital and Labour will do all we can to make the case to keep them there.”
Anyone who missed the chance to sign can still do so by emailing Chris Vobe at [email protected]
