Winter market defies the weather

THE Stockton Heath Festival’s annual winter market attracted customers from a wide area.
A grey, rainy day did not deter visitors who enjoyed shopping at a wide range of stalls selling original and individual foods, crafts, jewellery, art, etc.
Entertainment was supplied by two choirs, Wired for Sound and Vocal Infinity.
Local farmers offered meats, poultry, cheeses, Greek olives and local brewed beer.
Raffle prizes claimed by shoppers included a luxury food hamper, a selection of wines and beers and, for children, a beautiful, handmade rocking horse and a selection of toys.
Profits from the day went towards putting on the fifth annual Stockton Heath Festival, to be held in July.
The festival is a registered charity, organised and manned entirely by volunteers. Further details are available from the website www.stocktonheathfestival.co.uk
