Banned from keeping dogs

A WARRINGTON man has been banned from keeping dogs at his home for two years – and given 28 days to find new homes for his dogs.
Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) has obtained a two-year injunction against one of their tenants, Leon Cameron, of Bexhill Avenue, Orford, prohibiting him from keeping dogs on his property.
Warrington County Court also ordered him to re-house his dogs within 28 days.
The injunction was granted by the court following complaints from local residents that the defendant was allowing his dogs to run freely, fouling in communal gardens and not clearing the mess up after them.
This prevented residents from enjoying the use of the gardens and in particular, meant that they were unable to allow their children in the garden unsupervised. During the court proceedings, GGHT’s anti-social behaviour Office gave hearsay evidence on behalf of the residents, meaning that they did not have to attend court to give evidence and thereby protecting their anonymity.
The court was told that despite GGHT issuing the defendant with several warnings and trying to engage with him, Mr Cameron failed to re-house the dogs.
After the hearing, a GGHT spokesperson said; “As we have shown in this case we will use all powers available to us to prevent anti-social behaviour and to protect our tenants.
“Any of our tenants who feel that they are the victims of such behaviour should contact us immediately and in complete confidence on 0800 25 26 27.”

  1. you know today which is the 21st january, he still has 3 dogs (staffs) in a small flat with a new baby, which i’m very surprised at, he still lets them out and there is dog mess everywhere outside, unfortunately i live near to him in one of these horrible flats and have to dodge the mess whenever i go out or come back in. HE HAS STILL GOT 3 DOGS. YOU BANNED HIM! MAYBE YOU SHOULD CHECK UP ON HIM!

I AM SO SICK OF THIS!!!

  2. i emailed the council to tell them he STILL HAS THESE DOGS and why don’t they check up on people and all i got back was they can’t check up on everyone and they might do if i give them a statement and be prepared to go court! like i’m going to do that! i’d get my windows put through. i really hate living round here with scum as neighbours and piles of dog muck eveywhere. the smell when i open my windows is really lovely. the council are a joke!
