Trapped driver rescued from car

FIRE crews from Warrington removed the roof from a wrecked car to release the trapped driver.
The car had been involved in a collision with another car in Mersey Street, Warrington, yesterday.
Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to remove the roof from the car. The motorist, who had suffered injuries when he was trapped in the car, was taken to hospital by ambulance personnel. No further details have been released.
Two fire engines from Warrington were involved in the operation..
