Morley honoured with testimonial

WARRINGTON Wolves Skipper Adrian Morley has been granted a special three month testimonial by the Rugby Football League for his services to the game.
The testimonial, that will run from April 2012 and involve a number of events spread across this period.
Morley is one of the game’s finest ambassadors and recently became the first GB International to reach 50 caps for his country.
Testimonials are normally only afforded to players who serve a club for 10 years but the Rugby League do allow special ones for those who are deemed to have provided excellent service to the sport.
He played for Leeds between 1996 and 2000. Although also eligible for the Welsh national team, he made his England and Great Britain debuts in 1996 and says representing his country has been his “biggest honour.”
In the 1997 post season, he was selected to play for Great Britain in all three matches of the Super League Test series against Australia.
Morley won the Challenge Cup with Leeds in 1999 when they defeated the London Broncos 52 – 16 at Wembley Stadium.
After having a spell playing for the Sydney Roosters in Australia, which included a short spell as a Grand Final winner with Bradford, he came back home to sign for Warrington in 2006 becoming an instant hero with the fans with his no nonsense performances.
Salford born Morley currently has one year left on his contract with the Wolves and says he will make a decision on his future next June.
