Drugs seized in police raid

POLICE raided a property in Warrington this morning and seized a quantity of cannabis.
The raid was at an address in Samuel Street at around 8.40am.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possessing cannabis and is currently helping police with their enquiries.
The drug was taken away for forensic examination.
Sergeant Mark Spaven, of Warrington West Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “We are committed to tackling the issue of illegal drugs in the local community. Information from members of the public is vital in the fight against drug related crime. We would urge anyone with any information in relation to drug use and supply in the town to get in touch.”

  1. Cheshire Police should find something better to do. Yes cannabis is , bizarrely, illegal but so are a 1001 other things they don't bother to deal properly with.

    The police whine that they spend too much time doing paperwork – obviously not if they have the time to spend on such trivial matters.
